Goings-on

I don't know what it is about Sundays, but when you're in retail or food service, you know that Sunday is the most dreadful customer service day of the week. I for one am in the best mood on Sunday evenings; downright giddy. I am apparently the ONLY ONE IN THE WORLD! It's not as bad in retail as it is in restaurants, when these mean, hateful customers are hungry, too.

Among the people trying to kill my joy yesterday was a man who informed me that I am a racist. I started to thank him for making me aware of this unknown fact about myself, but he wouldn't get off his cell phone while he was screaming at me, so I didn't want to interrupt the conversation that was apparently more important than the business at hand. I also wanted to call my African-American coworker Jerelle over and plant a big wet one on him in an attempt to prove my love for all humanity, but I'm pretty sure Jerelle is gay, so I didn't want to make two enemies at one time. I just shook violently with rage, hurt, and indignity for about 15 minutes. Then I was better until the next meanie came along.

Other than my disdain for humanity as a whole yesterday, there's not a whole lot to report. Roomiekins got some big news yesterday, though... she's going to be a big sister again! Her dad and stepmother are expecting their second child together; her younger brother is two. And I thought there was a big age difference in MY family!
