My Week: the Highlights

Monday:
Went to work as usual, but left early because I had an appointment to get my head shrunk. That went well, no major breakthroughs to speak of. Drove home through much-needed but unnecessarily torrential rains. Qatched "How I Met Your Mother" and "Two and a Half Men", had a cyber-date with His Joeyness (of eHarmony fame)and went to bed.

Tuesday:
Book club meeting! One of the two books we were discussing, a Hemingway biography, was one that I suggested, but because of an Amazon snafu, I had YET to receive the book. Sunday, one of our members was kind enough to loan me hers, but of course I didn't get very far. I knew enough about him to hold my own, though. We met on the patio at McAllister's- perfect night for it, if a bit chilly. One woman was wearing a sleeveless shirt, though, and she was miserable! Forgot to tape "House," dagnabbit. I am going to HAVE to invest in TiVo post haste.

Wednesday:
Was supposed to baby-sit for one of my bosses' kids, but got cancelled on at the last possible second. Go fig. Went grocery shopping, then sat at home and watched "Kid Nation" and "Bionic Woman." BOORRIINNGG!

Thursday:
Babysat for aforementioned boss' adorable children, ages 4, 2, and 2. Then met Beckface for a late dinner at Chili's, followed by shopping for our NEW HOUSE!!! HOORAY!!
