Relaxation

So today was a nice kickoff to my "mini-vaycay." (Actually, I guess tomorrow is the real kickoff, but whatever.) I requisitioned several weeks ago to have this weekend off. No specific plans in mind, I just needed the weekend off. So I don't go back to Borders until Tuesday night! I guess the reason the feeling of giddiness is upon me slightly prematurely is that tonight is the first night I've had in a while to just chill at home, with nowhere to go, nothing to do, no company. I am WAY more excited about it than a normal person would be. :)

Today was a break from the usual work day routine. Boss Nancy and I traveled the hour and a half to our office in Jackson today to do some training there. The Jackson office is a two-woman office, run by Shari, who is quickly becoming one of my favorite people. She is a funny, smart, sassy Christian lady who is SO much fun! Her new assistant, Mandy, is pretty awesome too. So it was great fun getting to hang out with them!

Then home to do... NOTHING! Glorious, sweet nothing. Okay, I guess that's not really true. I did clean out my car, clean my room and the kitchen, and cook some dinner for me and Roomiekins. Now the dishes are done, the dog is fed, the coffeemaker is set for tomorrow, and I am blogging in lethargic bliss in front of "The Little Mermaid" with some killer Seattle's Best Coffee.

What better evening could a spinster ask for? :)

Sounds like a great way to spend an evening. A whole weekend with nothing planned - really? How luxurious! Every time I read your blog, I smile!
