Well, so much for orignality,but...

... it's what's in my heart right now.

What wondrous love is this, O my soul, O my soul?
What wondrous love is this, O my soul?
What wondrous love is this, that caused the Lord of bliss
To bear the dreadful curse for my soul, for my soul?
To bear the dreadful curse for my soul?

When I was sinking down, sinking down, sinking down
When I was sinking down, sinking down
When I was sinking down beneath God's righteous frown
Christ laid aside His crown for my soul, for my soul
Christ laid aside His crown for my soul.

To God and to the Lamb, I will sing, I will sing
To God and to the Lamb I will sing.
To God and to the Lamb, who is the great I Am,
While millions join the theme, I will sing, I will sing
While millions join the theme, I will sing.

And what wondrous love is this, though I raise my clenched fist
He opened up my hand to receive his gift
And what wondrous love is here, the God immortal has drawn near
And shed His blood to close the rift

And when from death I'm free, I'll sing on, I'll sing on.
And when from death I'm free, I'll sing on.
And when from death I'm free, I'll sing and joyful be
And through eternity, I'll sing on, I'll sing on
And through eternity, I'll sing on...

I LOVE that fourth verse. I am so grateful God pursues and preserves His children, even though we are quite often willful and defiant. What wondrous love is this, indeed!

This is such a beautiful song! I'm really glad you reminded me of it. I had a funky day yesterday, and I had an attitude adjustment session last night with the dinner dishes, and found myself singing this song and just soaking in how good God is.
